Voluntary Norfolk works with people to improve lives and strengthen communities across the county, not only through volunteering but also through the various services we provide and partnerships we participate in.

Voluntary Norfolk is involved in many projects spanning the breadth of the county:

  • We are there supporting people when they need help the most through our work with carers, especially young carers, as well as those suffering from loneliness and social isolation.
  • We are leading new initiatives that enable communities to thrive, such as through Freshly Greated (our community arts venture in Great Yarmouth).
  • We are there strengthening the VCSE sector by providing training and help recruiting volunteers to charities across the county and work closely with other organisations, such as through the Empowering Communities Partnership, to maximise the benefits we offer.
  • Our employment and skills team continues to be effective at getting people back into work.

We remain committed to building stronger communities through volunteering and supporting the Voluntary sector. We have recently launched an online platform to ensure volunteering is made as easy as possible for people to sign up. Get Involved allows people in Norfolk to discover the many opportunities to support groups and communities within our communities.

An important unrestricted income stream supporting Voluntary Norfolk comes from our trading subsidiary, CBR Business Solutions. Our professional support services offer the following services to charities and businesses across England and Wales:

  • Tailored HR support
  • Outsourced Payroll service
  • DBS Checks
  • Jobs Board for VCSE sector vacancies in Norfolk

Clients value the expertise, prompt responses and professional relationships our team develop. We take the time to get to know and understand the needs of your business and ensure the advice and support we give is tailored to meet those needs.

“It’s so useful outsourcing our Payroll, DBS checks and HR – everything has always worked really smoothly, the services are affordable, and they are always responsive.  I’ve always worked for big corporate organisations before within their own departments, but it does feel like CBR are all part of the team; I really feel I can just pick up the phone and they help me understand what I need. Knowing I have the expertise to ensure it’s all correct with pensions, TUPE, contracts etc gives me peace of mind.”  CEO – Eating Matters
