We are a not for profit Community Interest Company based in Great Yarmouth that works to help anyone affected by dementia by harnessing the power of sport.
We joined Norfolk Chamber of Commerce to build links with businesses and share their expertise to help families living with dementia through our online ‘dementia support directory’ (see website)
Lived with experience of caring for my Mum who had dementia for 8 years has been a roller coaster journey. It is very difficult to find ‘dementia aware’ businesses to provide services such as carpet fitters/cleaners, gardeners, mobile hairdressers, carers, electricians, plumbers, solicitors, car dealers, insurance providers, days out, home adaptations, financial advisors, nail cutters, therapists etc. etc. to help keep Mum in her own home…but we have.
We would like to talk to any business that would like to get involved. The first 100 advertisers are FOC.
We are also raising funds to purchase a holiday chalet for free respite breaks for families living with dementia and have a range of other dementia related projects underway.
