Door Supervisors Course (SIA)
The Door Supervisor course is designed for individuals who want to work in licensed premises, events, and public-facing security roles. It provides the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to operate safely, professionally, and legally within the private security industry.
The course covers key areas including the roles and responsibilities of a Door Supervisor, effective communication and conflict management, recognising and dealing with risk, and understanding relevant legislation. Learners will also develop practical skills in physical intervention, focusing on safety, proportionality, and the protection of themselves and others.
Delivered through a blended learning approach, learners complete the theory elements online at their own pace before attending face-to-face sessions for practical training and assessments. This ensures classroom time is focused on hands-on skills, scenario-based learning, and tutor support.
On successful completion, learners will be eligible to apply for a Door Supervisor licence with the Security Industry Authority (SIA), enabling them to work in roles such as door supervision, event security, and venue security.
