Banham Zoo Named Finalist for Visitor Attraction of the Year 2026
Banham Zoo is delighted to announce that it has been shortlisted as a finalist for Visitor Attraction of the Year, sponsored by Howes Percival, at the Suffolk and Norfolk Tourism Awards.
Last week’s announcement of the finalists celebrates excellence across the region’s tourism industry, and Banham Zoo is proud to be recognised among so many outstanding visitor attractions.
The nomination reflects the dedication and hard work of teams across the organisation, including Retail and Catering, the Animal Team, Maintenance, Cleaning, Operations, Customer Service, Conservation and Education, as well as the HQ teams working behind the scenes, all of whom contribute to delivering an exceptional visitor experience.
The Suffolk and Norfolk Tourism Awards are run by Visit East of England, championing the very best of the region’s tourism offer and celebrating organisations that go above and beyond for visitors.
Being shortlisted alongside such worthy finalists is a fantastic achievement, and the Banham Zoo team is eagerly awaiting the results, which will be announced next month.
Josh Hunter-Harl, Director of Sales and Marketing, said,
“Being named a finalist is a real testament to the dedication and passion of our entire team. Over the past few years, we’ve worked incredibly hard to enhance the zoo experience – investing in improvements across the site, strengthening our visitor offer, and ensuring every guest leaves with lasting memories.
As a registered charity, every visit directly supports the care of our animals, our conservation work and the ongoing development of the zoo. This recognition reflects not only the commitment of our team, but also the incredible support from our visitors and community who make that work possible.”
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supports us, our visitors, members, partners, volunteers and local community. Your continued encouragement and enthusiasm make everything we do possible, and we are incredibly grateful for the role you play in our journey!
