Affordable video production for your business
Why Every Norfolk Business Should Think About Video (And Why You Might Already Have What You Need)
Hi, I’m Henry.
I’m Head of Production at MasterCut Videos. I also work in film and television — proper broadcast stuff. And I grew up in Norfolk, so this feels personal.
MasterCut actually started because I was creating training videos for Sait.Edu — an AI training company. They needed decent video to go with their content, and the stuff that was out there was either expensive agency work or… well, not great.
So I started making those videos. And it grew from there.
Along the way, I brought in other people I’d met working on film and TV sets — genuinely talented professionals who know their craft. Dylan, Emily, the wider team. We call ourselves Mastercutters. We’re based all over the country, but we all come from the same place: working production on real commercial and broadcast projects.
That’s the bit that matters. Every MasterCutter on our team works professionally in film and television. These aren’t hobbyists with a decent camera. They’re working professionals who bring broadcast-level craft to every project.
The result? Your business gets film industry quality — without film industry budgets.
Here’s what I’ve learned since we started:
Most people know video works. They just don’t know where to start, or they’ve had a bad experience with someone who talked a good game but delivered something flat.
The truth is, a well-made 90-second video can change how people see your business. It works on LinkedIn, it works on your website, it works in bids and proposals. And it doesn’t need to cost the earth.
For Chamber members especially — there’s government and public sector work out there that needs video. Councils, schools, health bodies. Frameworks like the CCS Communications Marketplace are open right now, and Norfolk businesses can get on them.
Three things I’d tell any business thinking about video:
-
One good video beats ten average ones. Put your energy into something you’re genuinely proud of. You’ll use it everywhere.
-
Don’t try to be a Hollywood blockbuster. The best videos are simple: clear message, good visuals, and a reason for someone to care.
-
Plan for reuse. A single shoot can give you a main video, social clips, a testimonial, and background footage you’ll use for months.
If you’re a Chamber member and you’re curious about whether video could work for you, I’d happily chat. No pitch, no pressure — just honest advice from someone who grew up in Norfolk and genuinely wants local businesses to have access to proper production quality.
