Managing Director at Indigo Swan

My career started in Norwich when I was 19 years old. University wasn’t for me after giving it a go and thus I was thrust into the world of employment. Starting my career at Central Trust in the finance sector I was lucky to have great mentors in house and was able to build my career and gain my first leadership role at the age of 21. This is no longer the case for many young people and something I am not blind to.

Over the last 11 years at Indigo Swan I have made it my mission to make sure the whole team have felt well supported, given opportunity and understood what is needed to take the next step in the career. This has been done through internal and external support.

Being asked to chair the Co.Next Board and play a part in inspiring, motivating and developing the next generation within Norfolk Businesses is an honour and something I am extremely proud of and looking forward to being involved with. I truly believe we are blessed with great talent in Norfolk and finding this, unearthing this, polishing this with the support of their employers, is something that I and the rest of the board alongside the Chamber take extremely seriously. Anyone who is 35 and under doesn’t want to miss out on the opportunities Co.Next hopes to present them with and I hope we can rely on the support of the business community and the professionals themselves to create something special that will last for many years to come.
