Join the Norfolk Chamber for an afternoon of accessing specialist knowledge from Birketts essential for any HR Professional or business owner. Open to all businesses, everyone is welcome.

Our sponsor for the afternoon is Birketts LLP, a full service top 100 UK law firm with offices across East Anglia. Our speakers are Laura Brown, Associate, and Jennifer Leeder, Senior Associate, both of whom come from the Birketts employment team. 

Laura and Jennifer will be covering Technology and the Workplace by tackling the current issues that HR and managers are facing as a result of the increased use of technology in our daily lives.

Laura advises on all areas of employment law including guiding clients through complex processes, restructure and redundancy, and dealing with issues on termination of employment. She recognises that the efficiency and success of a business can largely depend upon the staff it employs and holds Shaping Excellent training courses for manager and stafff on topics including equality and diversity, the Modern Slavery Act 2010, and employment law essentials. 

Jennifer is an employment law specialist with over 15 years’ post-qualification experience. She is a Senior Associate in our Employment Team and qualified as a Solicitor in September 2001. Shehas advised on the full spectrum of employment law issues, both in private practice and whilst working in-house. Prior to joining Birketts, Jennifer was Head of HR within a commercial property business and most recently a member of the Operations Board, at a local manufacturing company.  In these roles, she developed the HR functions in order to support the evolution and growth of the businesses
