Event: Coastal Co.nnect

Join us for a relaxed morning of networking 0930 – 1130 in Great Yarmouth. We will be there with Great Yarmouth Borough Council and our expert speaker who will help build your business toolkit by imparting their knowledge and answering questions.

This is a super informal networking morning, you’ll have free networking time when you arrive followed by a quick round-table introduction so you can get to know your fellow business people in the room and understand what it is they do. After this our expert will “take the stage” to present on their area of expertise, when they’ve answered everyone’s questions the networking commences again.

We are very pleased to have the lovely Alison Alden with us from Fortunes by Alison, she has been trading for two years independently but has a firm business background having been a partner in a haulage firm and previously a director in her family business.

The talk is about how stories sell.  There’s a lot of buzz about telling your story and being authentic, this is important but, if a product or a service can have a story this makes it more memorable and valuable. Alison does gin tea reading and has evidence and photographs of her great aunt reading tea leaves as well as her great great grandmother, so there is a real family history there! Each delegate will be given a piece of red string which will have no value until Alison shares its story, the perception of the string then changes showing how telling a story adds value to your business. Alison understand that a product or service with a story sells better and her red string talk will show delegates this.
