Anglia Capital Group is an angel investment network dedicated to prioritise support for high-growth businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk.
Many start up and early-stage companies find it difficult to access the funding that they require. Their businesses are too risky for bank finance, grants cannot fund all of a company ‘s requirement and Venture Capital is only used in 3% of startups. It is business angels that fill this gap.
Angel Investment is one of the earliest equity investments made into a high-growth business. Over £2 billion is in invested in this form, in the UK, per annum.
The right funding at the right time, coupled with the expertise that external angel investors can bring, is often the key to unlocking rapid growth for companies wanting to expand, diversify, or enter new markets. A vibrant and healthy business angel market is therefore a key ingredient for a successful regional economy.
